Rachel told Janine this is never where she thought they’d be at the age of 46. Janine was divorced, and Rachel was headed in the same direction. They were both so afraid of being alone and unloved, they stayed in marriages for too long.
In the aftermath of change, they are learning to live on their own. Janine has young children. Rachel has her cat. Sure, they were the ones to tell their truths, but it didn’t make the decision to leave easier. If anything, it made it worse.
Nothing will be the same. Nothing will ever be normal, again.

Great response to a great song, darling. Time to make a new normal.
Thank you my love. I’m all for making a new normal.

Thanks liked the song
Hope you liked the story too.
My SIL and I have a pact. If we are alone in our Olden Years, we’ll move in together… she and her Collie, and me with my mini Lab… and be grumpy old women.
That is a great pact to have. I and two of my BFFs have a similar pact. We’ll retire to Boca Raton. LOL
Love,
Renee
I like your response to the song and like the idea of the pact with your BFFs. Could I join you? Boca Raton sounds as though it will be THE place to be!!
Love to you
Dee
