Friday Fictioneers-Wherever She is, is Home

Friday Fictioneers is brought to us by none other, than Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. The prompt this week is from Rich Voza. It’s a beaut.

The story will be romantic. I promise, no broken hearts this week. It’ll be a happy one. For a follower and dear friend. I won’t divulge who it is, but she knows. That’s all that matters.

Genre: Romance

Copyright-Rich Voza

Sunrise on a red eye flight. Thoughts of her kept him awake. Gone three days, felt like three months. No texts, phone calls. No email. He aches to hold her. Smell her hair. See her blue eyes sparkle. Feel lips whisper on his neck, maybe give a gentle bite.

Plane touches down. He exits the airport. He sees her, waiting. He’s missed her kisses. Her touch. Their lips meet. It’s like no time has passed.

“Hello love, I’ve missed you.”

“Hi there, Sunshine.”

“You ready to go home?”

“Wherever you are is my home, love.”

She smiles, her eyes dance.

    • I do like romance. My stories usually have some kind of tragedy in them. Not this week. My romantic heart is happy this week, so I needed to write a happy story.

  1. I feel like Ted. So many of these stories weave a hypnotizing tale only to jam a knife in on the tail end. I am so glad this did not as it is a lovely tale of two wanting to reunite as one. So good Renee.

    • Often my love stories are tragic. I had to throw in a happy one for a change. These two lovers reunited after only three days apart. Yet it felt like months. He really does call her sunshine. She really does call him love. I’m glad you liked it. Simple as it was.

      • Oh my dear, thank you for the kind words. Every single one of them. Isn’t romance fun? I don’t like schmaltz but this week I was feeling all ooey and gooey. So that’s the story I wrote.Damn our romantic, sparkly souls. Sigh.

    • Honey, I’m one of those women that doesn’t like Valentine’s Day. However, I’m a bit of a romantic. Sometimes my stories are tragic and sad. This week it needed to be sweet. Thanks for your kind comment.

      Love, Renee
