Fancy a Brew?

Thank you my dear friend The Reclining Gentleman for the tag. I love coffee. It is a necessary evil in my life. It works to keep me focused because of ADHD. If I didn’t drink it, I’d be even more crazy than I already am. 🙂

1) How many cups of coffee per day? At least three cups. Starbucks dark roast preferably.

2) What is your favourite caffeine delivery system? Coffee of course. I’ll drink Coke Zero though. Yum!

3) What was your best cup of coffee? My favorite coffee is Komodo Dragon dark roast from Starbucks. It is bitter and earthy. Add a little ground cinnamon and I’m in Heaven.

4) What was your worst cup of coffee? Oh hell, I don’t know. Probably the gas station we stopped at a few years ago when we were driving to Florida to go to Disney World. It looked like old bathwater and tasted like burnt bacon. Sure, I’d love to drink the bathwater of Ryan Gosling or Johnny Depp, but not in my coffee. GROSS!!!

5) What does your favourite mug say? LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE. What else would you expect from a fiery wench such as moi?

Live Laugh Love

At work, I use a mug that’s covered in flowers, because I’m such a dainty maiden. I need one that’s animal print though. I’m sure  it would go better with my goofy personality. Or maybe I can find one that has the F word repeated all over it. Roger Darling would love that I’m sure.

6) How do you take your coffee? Caramel syrup, real cream, and two Sweet and Low. My dear husband tells me I’m high maintenance. Even with my coffee. I do believe he is right.

7) When was your first cup? I was a latchkey kid, so probably when I was 8 or 9. I was always sneaky and doing things I shouldn’t. Hell, I started smoking when I was 13.

8) Have you ever gone on a coffee tea date? Yes, with Roger Darling of course. And a few of my girlfriends. Starbucks is a favorite place to hang out. It’s nice to sit and chat with a dark roast, Venti.

Now who will I bring into the clatch, hmmmmm? Carolyn, Sheri, Benjamin, CharlieZero1, Ajay and Seyi. Happy Monday to all of you. Now go out there and enjoy a cup. Then write, write, write!!!!!

    • Love your answers Benjamin. Love the blonde and sweet remark too. You made this blonde girl smile, on a day that I really needed it. Don’t forget to answer these questions on your page. And invite other bloggers into the clatch. Kisses and hugs my dear friend.

      Love, Renee

  2. 1. One, but it is the size of a 32 oz glass.
    2. Coffee or Tea. Lately coffee, but I like tea too.
    3. Drive through coffee hut, two blocks from the house in Washington. We could never make it home before killing the coffee in full. It. Was. So. Damn. Good. You could taste the bean.
    4. Any coffee out of a convenience store. I can’t do it. Burnt coffee, no thank you.
    5. I drink out of my Fiesta Ware–no mug saying on those. I’m boring.
    6. Lots o’ suga, lots o’ milk.
    7. No, but I met up with a girlfriend’s ex boyfriend at Highland Coffees once. She told me what a huge penis he has and then I had to sit through coffee with him. All I could think about was his big dick. He was a priest at that point, so I sat drinking coffee with a priest thinking about his huge cock. Yep.

  3. 1. Just one. Yep. I’m so naturally wired that if I drink more than 1 cup I’m up until the wee hours of the morning. I will say though, I can drink 2-3 espressos if I skip the morning cup-:)

    2. Coffee like you Renee…yummy wonderful coffee.

    3. My best cup is made in my espresso machine brought home Italy last November. I use dark Italian ground roast instead of espresso grind so I can actually have a cup of coffee instead of an espresso. Try it, it’s awesome!

    4. My worst cup was in Tennessee (sorry) while at conference. It tasted and like river water.

    5. It’s the mug my daughter bought me ( the size of Renee’s) the last year of mother daughter weekend while she was in university at Oregon State. It says: Proud Mother of a OSU Graduate!

    6. I’m a very organic based person so I use 2 wonderful spoons of raw blue organic agave and about a fingertip of organic half and half. Heaven…

    7. Regularly. I might only drink 1 cup of caffeine a day, but if a friend calls and says, “dai, prendere una bella caffè con io.” I say, “be right there!” and enjoy a nice cup of something without caffeine. I love the Italians, they don’t HAVE a coffee, they TAKE a coffee!

    • Love your answers Yaz. Especially the second one. 🙂 I’ll have to try the blue agave. My bonus mom swears by it. I love healthy and organic too. Will be sure to try organic half and half. I do not use artificial anything except sweet and low. I make sure to limit it to four little packets a day. I’m glad you’re here honey.

    • I’m so glad you joined me. Shameless, me? I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. I can’t wait to read your answers. Giggle. Thanks for being such an inspiration.

    • Honey I’m happy with any good kind of coffee. Starbucks makes a kick ass dark roast is all. Plus I love the staff there. They know exactly what I want and get it for me before I order it. I tip well too.

I enjoy tea too. Early Grey and Constant Comment. I don’t drink them enough though. It would be a joy to share a cup of tea with you.

    • I’m glad you like coffee my sweet woman. Thanks for joining my group. I’m in awe of your writing. You make me want to be a better writer. And thanks for the compliment on my mug. Can you believe I bought it at a dollar store???

      • You’re in London? I love London. Of course I’ve never been there. What the hell are you doing up so late??? Go to bed woman. I’d love to mail you a mug. Wonder how much it would cost??? Giggle.

      • It’s coffee that kept me up so late! I write better in the night, hope you’ll come to London one day and I’ll show you around. I should be in New York this summer and yes, I’ll definitely get that mug one day, I had no idea how much it’ll cost, thanks for the thought!!
        Much love-:)

      • London is most definitely on my to do list. I want to spend at least two weeks there. I’m writing a novel. It’s the setting of it of course. How can I write about a place I’ve never been? Research, research, research.

I write better at night too. Usually after a glass of wine.

If I could send you a mug, I would. 🙂 New York is a wonderful state. Are you going to New York City?

        Love back at you.
